Have you been wondering when I might ask you about your relationship to Jesus,God’s Son? I’ve been busy teaching the concepts that are based on what my precious sister, Tami, named Biblescopes. However, all the teaching and instruction in these concepts cannot save you from the life that is to come after present eternity. To really know God's promises straight from His Word, you must first know God as the Savior of your life. God can only promise to the lost mercy for repentance. Blessings come after one asks Jesus to be the Lord of his or her life. Jesus gave His life that you might have life to the fullest. Has there ever been a time when God gently called you to Himself by a softly whispered wooing of His Holy Spirit? During this time, did you open your heart's door and ask Jesus to enter into your life in the person of His Holy Spirit?
Biblescopes are for those who have an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. I would, at the same time, not limit the wooing or gentle calling of God's Spirit to bring those, who do not have an intimate walk with Jesus, to repentance through the words in this book. Do you want God's Word to be real to you, alive and active in your life, so you can know the promises He has for you? Is Christ the Lord of your life? Have you desired to live in victory above the weight of this fallen world? Before continuing, pray the following prayer out loud to God so Satan can hear you and know you're taking a stand against further demonic torment and interruption in your life.
Ask Jesus to live inside you and to cleanse and forgive you. Ask Him in this simple prayer. He will be your constant companion and your best friend. Are you asking about now, "Are you talking about the God who sends people to hell, who lets little children die from starvation, the God that allows physical and emotional spousal abuse, and who allows evil and hateful people to prosper while you do without?"
No!!! The God I'm talking about is YAHWEH, the KING OF KINGS, the Giver of Life, God of mercy and kindness, and the Gentle Shepherd, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the End. The other picture of God is the one Satan paints by deceiving Christians through people--interpreted religious doctrines and misconceptions about a loving God. This isn't about religion. It's about relationships--yours to God and His to you. If you are ready for a very exciting journey of growing and knowing God, your Heavenly Father, then pray this simple prayer.
“Father, I am nothing and I have nothing without you.
My sin separates me from You. Today I turn from my
sin and ask you to forgive me. I want all of You and none
of my sinful flesh. I want to live by your leading and the
direction of Your Holy Spirit. I want Your mercy that is
new every morning. These are my heart's desires today.
Cleanse me that my sin may be forgiven, forgive me of all
I've ever done to hurt You, others, and myself; forgive
me, Lord Jesus."
“Thank you that I am now forgiven and my sins have
been forgotten by You, Most Holy Father. I now have
right standing with You because I am Your child. Teach
me how to defeat the enemy and be an overcomer.
Today, I have known Your unconditional love for You
have taken me just as I am and made me a new creation.
I have the promise of your Word that my name is written
in the Lamb's Book of Life.”
“In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
Now you are ready to take the next step. If you think you won't hear God or understand what you're reading, trust the Holy Spirit inside you; He will teach you everything you need to understand God's Word. A teaching Bible that expounds on the Word is a great tool. Using more than one translation of God’s Word helps give you different perspectives to make the picture God is painting for you. If you're not already part of a church that has a world-wide vision for the lost with ministries that serve all people and you would like to find one where you live, use the phone book yellow pages. Ask your neighbors or friends to suggest a congregation that will help you grow and understand just what God has planned for you. Find the kind of congregation that accepts people of all nations who have Jesus in their hearts and their ministry. Go online and search for area churches near your neighborhood.
Reflection Assignment
Directions: Journal about your relationship to your Heavenly Father. Think about the day you asked Him into your heart. When was it? Today? A year ago? Not real sure? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you remember. Document the when and where in this journal entry. Now once you’ve assessed the day of your salvation read the corresponding Psalm and Proverb to that day. If you’re unsure of the date, choose one closest to that time in your life and read that Psalm and Proverb then write what God tells you about your salvation.
